CustomInk is the nation’s leading online custom print-on-demand t-shirt manufacturer with a brand built almost entirely on customer service. They asked us to create a new identity for their brand that reflects their dedication to service and the joy customers receive with every package shipped.
The employees of CustomInk refer to themselves proudly as “Inkers,” and an octopus mascot named “Inky” emerged for their internal sports teams and events. Our explorations of the joyful cephalopod reversed out of ink drops grew into the perfect symbol of CustomInk’s history and their embrace of the future.
Along with the new “Inky the Octopus” logo we designed, this shipping box was the most important piece of branding for CustomInk, the nation’s leading online custom print-on-demand t-shirt manufacturer.Customers often comment to them about the thrill they feel when opening a shipment of custom t-shirts. We wanted the box itself to be just as special when it appears on their doorsteps.
The new CustomInk identity system is made even more impactful by the fact that tens of thousands of CSA Images are on license for their customers to use while designing their own silk screened t-shirts online. On the box, many of those images are used for an added surprise on the flaps of the shipper.
